Is CBD Good For Dogs? Many people are not aware of the potential benefits of CBD for dogs. Dogs are not the only creatures that benefit from the healing powers of CBD. It is also great for alleviating some common ailments in both humans and animals, including cancer, epilepsy, chronic inflammation and neurological problems. In fact, many of these same properties have been found in CBD for dogs! How Does CBD Oil for Dogs Work? There is a chemical messenger system within the body of your pet dog called the endocannoyectic system. It normally helps regulate appetite, sleep, pain, appetite, the immune system, anxiety and depression, and so much more. However, in some cases, this same chemical messenger system may be malfunctioning. This may be the reason why your pet is experiencing various health issues. Through time, various studies have been conducted by health researchers to test whether or not CBD is effective in addressing the various symptoms of dogs that are experiencing problems within their endocannabinoid systems. A study was performed by American shaman and holistic practitioner, who is considered an expert in alternative medicine. He chose six dogs that were experiencing varied symptoms within the same group of dogs. After carefully evaluating each of these cbd oil for dogs, he discovered that half of them had gastrointestinal (the stomach) symptoms, which included diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain and general weakness. The other half of the dogs showed no gastrointestinal symptoms but were experiencing seizures and excessive barking at times. He decided to administer two different doses of CBD to each dog; one in the morning and one at night. These doses were then divided into two groups of four, and the same type of monitoring was performed on the two different groups. The results showed significant improvements in each group. The dogs that received a CBD/petrine ratio of one: 1 were showing signs of improvement; they were experiencing less vomiting and diarrhea. Furthermore, these dogs were showing signs of improvement when it came to blood pressure and heart rate, while all the other groups continued to experience none of these. The other group of dogs, which received a CBD/petrine ratio of two: 1, experienced an increase in heart rate and blood pressure. However, despite the significant differences in the condition of each of these groups of dogs, they still had similar levels of depression, no vomiting and no changes to their blood pressure or heart rate. The next step that he took, after testing these dogs, was to administer an oral dose of CBD along with a placebo. He found that although CBD was effective in relieving depression, it was not without its negative side-effects. He went on to conclude that the negative effects were likely due to the fact that CBD has only been found to have an anti-depressant effect in human beings. He said that further work is needed in order to determine whether CBD can reverse the same symptoms that occur with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia in humans. He also recommends using CBD as an adjunct to current medication used to treat anxiety and panic disorders in patients.
